Blarney Castle is a new creation for 2008. A very traditional David Winter castle with a round stone keep and ruined outer battlements. Full of atmosphere. It was first built in the 10th century in wood and rebuilt in stone around 1440. Home of Dermot McCarthy, King of Munster and one of Ireland's greatest chieftains, the keep of this castle still remains standing today. It is a world landmark and one of Ireland's greatest treasures.
